About Me
ILSE’S BIOGRAPHY

Ilse began her career working in a law firm in Vienna, Austria, where she learned to draft contracts and already found joy in crafting and reviewing contracts. After moving to the United States she got her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University Northridge. Ilse started working for a major Construction Subcontractor in 1998 and fell in love with the industry. As it turned out, a Psychology background was an advantage in this hard-hitting field. Construction is the most challenging and complex business. There is never a dull moment!

Ilse’s experience as Contract Administrator, as Project Manager, as Assistant Controller, and as Legal Director gives her a diverse and complete understanding of the construction contract cycle; from the administrative compliance challenges, to the cash flow pressures put on Subcontractors, to the risks in the field operations. During all these years, Ilse reviewed and negotiated contracts, a part of the job that continually becomes more complicated.

For most people the reading of contracts is a tedious and time consuming task. Ilse loves ferreting out the risks, pitfalls and booby traps included in most Subcontract Agreements. She would love to help you work out the best contract terms and identify any potential future liabilities.
